Safety, Stability and Well-being

Domestic violence threatens the security and stability of families and does lack of access to health care.

NPLS provides a full range of services in all counties for:

Protection from Abuse matter for petitioners who are unable to successful present their case without an attorney
Medical Assistance and Medicare

NPLS may provide some assistance, depending on the county for:

Protection from abuse and custody problems not listed above
Other health issues – insurance, quality of care, and denial of treatment
Advance planning – health care directives
Mental heath commitments

NPLS provides self-help material and community workshops on rights in safety, stability and well-beings and is available to train advocates and community organizations.
